About The Bridgnorth & District Furniture Store

B.D.F.S. is the Bridgnorth District Furniture Store. We started in 2006 as a non-profit community group providing good quality used furniture and household items to the community, whilst also diverting material from being turned into waste.

We can collect your items from Bridgnorth district from just £5

The Furniture Store is open to anybody who requires furniture or household items. Please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Our Mission Statement

The Mission Statement covers our business principles, values and purpose. To work in partnership with others to provide furniture and other household items at the lowest possible cost to those in need in the Southern Shropshire area, to recycle and reuse as much of the material we receive as possible rather than sending it to landfill and to further relieve poverty by providing jobs, volunteering, and training opportunities thus enabling people to become economically active

  1. The primary objective of the Furniture Store is to provide household goods to people in need. To that end, the Project will provide the transport and labour to collect donations from people throughout the Southern Shropshire area and these donations will be brought to the unit where they will be sorted, assessed for condition, repaired, or renovated where possible, and made available to potential client groups or for general retail.

  2. The second major aim of the project is to make an impact on landfill use: by reusing peoples' unwanted household items and endeavour to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

  3. The third object is to facilitate training, employment and volunteering opportunities for a variety of people and groups.

Volunteers

We are always looking for volunteers who can help out with the phone, administration, driving, moving furniture, carpentry, repairs and more
